February is RLSH Blood Drive Awareness Month.

This will be the fourth consecutive year that Real Life Superheroes from across the United States help raise awareness about the importance of donating blood.

Why is donating important?

When you donate, your blood can be used by three people. With just a moment of your time, you are empowered to save lives. Thousands of people do this every day, which makes them heroes. The RLSH community are no different. And by focusing awareness on the importance of donating, we can empower our friends and family, as well.

There are some who cannot donate. But there are other opportunities in which to help. In fact, you many choose not to do a cash donation to the Red Cross for this purpose but donate to their efforts in Haiti. Either way, February is the month to start thinking about other ways to help our communities and those in other parts of the world as well. And we can all start by the simple task of going down to our local Red Cross or blood donation centers and making a commitment to donate. You can save a life!
